We’re all in our mid to late-twenties, and most of us have gone through at least one career change. I think the narrative that has been taught to my generation is that your job has to be “fulfilling” and if it’s not, it’s not the right job for you. I’m of the mindset that sometimes a job is just a way to earn a living and you don’t have to love it or be “fulfilled” by it. There is plenty in my life to fulfill me. I certainly like my job and I work hard at it (as I have in all of my jobs) and if I ever straight up hate it I might look elsewhere for income, but it’s not the end-all-be-all determinant of whether I am happy or fulfilled.

I’ve had moments of burnout like everyone has, so it’s nice to know that even the most successful/known SLPs out there (like you!) know what’s it’s like.
